More than a decade ago I stood praying for God to send someone to Honduras to help. His answer was, "Why Not You? I want you to bring teams to help." And a ministry was born. Why Not You was developed initially to help the people of Honduras improve living conditions by concreting dirt floors, installing chimneys and water purification. Why Not You can sound like a weird name, but as people ask about it, I have the chance to offer that if they see a need, and they pray to God about fixing it, their answer might also turn out to be "Why Not You? I want you to help." We long to act as the hands and feet of Jesus: bringing help to a hurting world, sharing how much God loves them and pointing out the way to him. We have seen God work in amazing ways and daily see his hand at work in people's lives. Since that first call into ministry we have expanded into several different outreaches, and each one includes ways that you can chose to be involved. Robert Martin (Director & Founder)
Bob is the founder of Why Not You Ministries. In 2014 we became a nonprofit ministry taking teams to Honduras to complete a children’s home building project. In 2017 he became a full-time missionary hosting teams for mission outreaches.
Prior to serving with Why Not You Ministries Bob worked as a counselor at Northern Tier Youth Services, pastored a local church for 15 years, Directed the local NYPUM behavior modification program. And owned a small local hardware store.
Sandra Martin (Secretary)
Sandy has been serving alongside her husband in Honduras since 2017. She was director of the Child Sponsorship Program.
Prior to serving with Why Not You Ministries Sandy served as secretary and tax collector for her township.
Jay & Faye Good | Missionary Advisors
Jay and Faye Good - We have been married for 43 years and have 4 children and 14 grandchildren. We love to spend time with our family and friends and are active in our local church. We love to host people in our home and our Vrbo apartments and cabin. We have been dairy farmers all of our lives. We love planting seeds on the farm and for God’s kingdom.
Scott Rossell | Community Outreach Director
Scott has been involved with Why Not You Ministries for almost a decade. He and his wife Tiffany live in North Central Pennsylvania, where Scott works full-time as a paramedic at UPMC Wellsboro. They have seven children and two grandchildren. Scott and Tiffany love serving God in a practical way that exposes people to Jesus through good work and getting people involved!
Kim Cunningham | Bookkeeper
Kim is employed as a bookkeeper with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. She is the director of Shipping Supplies to Honduras.
Kyle Martin | Assistant Chairman
Aside from serving with Why Not You, Kyle has a career in woodworking and making furniture and cabinets.
